Steve Walas

Chief Executive Officer

Steve has been an employee with HealthSouth since 1999 and the chief executive officer of HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital since April 2010. He has more than 10 years of administrative experience in acute rehab settings. Steve graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in health policy and administration.
Dr. Gunnar Zorn

Gunnar Zorn, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Zorn has been a part of the HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehabilitation hospital team for more than 15 years.   He specializes in comprehensive generalized rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, electro diagnostic medicine and independent medical examinations. A graduate of Duke University and Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Zorn completed his internship at the Medical Center of Delaware in Newark and his residency at Jefferson University Hospital.

Gunnar Zorn, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Belle Goslee

Belle Goslee

Chief Nursing Officer

Belle brings more than 24 years of acute critical care and leadership experience to HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital. A native of the Eastern Shore Belle received an associate degree in nursing from Wor-Wic Community College and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wilmington University.

Greg Hartman

Greg Hartman

Director of Marketing Operations

Greg joined the HealthSouth team in 2010 and brings with him 10 years of demonstrated sales, marketing and public relations experience. Prior to working at HealthSouth, he served as a regional director of marketing for a Maryland skilled nursing chain and as a territory manager for Vitas Hospice. Greg is an Eastern Shore native who earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Maryland and has worked on classes towards a master’s degree in psychology from Salisbury University.
Samantha Mcloughlin

Samantha Mcloughlin

Director of Quality and Risk

Samantha joined the HealthSouth team in 2013 as a field liaison working with the marketing team. In 2014 she transitioned to her current role as the quality and risk director. She brings with her a strong clinical background in acute care nursing; specializing in the care of neurological, stroke and post-operative spine patients. Samantha received her associate degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina at Lancaster.  

Terri Mills

Terri Mills

Director of Case Management

Terri has been with HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital since November 2002. She graduated from Wesley College with an associate degree in 1987. She returned to Wesley College, graduating with a master’s degree in 2008. Terri is a member of Tau Beta Nursing Honor Society.
Karen Rounsley

Karen Rounsley

Controller

Karen has been the controller at HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital for 15 years and employed at the hospital for nearly 20 years. She brings more than 20 years of accounting and financial management experience to her position. Karen has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Salisbury University.
Belinda Thompson

Belinda Thompson

Human Resources Director

Belinda has served as the director of human resources with HealthSouth since 2000. Preceding employment with HealthSouth, Belinda’s careers included work in the community mental health and wellness field; most recently as the director of a HUD-IV homeless program in Delaware, and nutritional services management in Delaware and New York. A Salisbury University undergrad and graduate student, Belinda holds a degree in psychology with a concentration in gerontology and certification in personnel management.
Bryan Twigg

Bryan Twigg, PT

Director of Therapy

Bryan has been with HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital since September 1995. He has worked as a physical therapist in inpatient, outpatient, acute and home health settings. He served as senior physical therapist for our outpatient neurological program for nine years and has served as director of therapy since October 2013. Bryan earned his degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honors Society.
